KIMBERLY GENTHER

Paralegal

Kimberly Genther joined Hilger Hammond as a Paralegal in 2009. She holds an Associate degree in Paralegal Studies and has over 30 years of experience in the legal field. During that time, she has worked in many areas including family law, bankruptcy, probate and estate planning, workers’ compensation, medical malpractice defense, and insurance claims investigation. In her current role, Kimberly assists the attorneys in all aspects of their practice, including complex litigation and transactional matters, and she takes pride in using her skills and experience to provide exceptional service to Hilger Hammond’s clients.

Away from the office, Kimberly enjoys reading, bicycling, the beautiful Michigan outdoors, and spending time with her beloved golden retriever, Kaia. Kimberly and her husband, Chris, also enjoy traveling and attending concerts and sporting events together. Go Blue!

LISA PALOMINO

Paralegal

Lisa Palomino has 30 years of legal experience in litigation in the areas of real estate, construction, riparian rights, bankruptcy, creditor’s rights, banking, family law, municipal law, and corporate law. Lisa holds a Bachelor’s degree from Kuyper College and an Associates degree from Davenport University in Legal Studies. She assists Hilger Hammond’s attorneys in all aspects of their practice, including complex litigation, MIOSHA appeals, construction contracts, and transactional matters.

ROY VIZCARRA

Paralegal

Roy Vizcarra has experience working in the legal field that covers a variety of the system. Roy has previous experience working as a personal injury litigation paralegal, a docket clerk for the Circuit Court, and has worked for the U.S. Attorney’s office. Roy holds an Associates degree from Davenport University in Legal Studies. At Hilger Hammond, Roy assists our attorneys in all aspects of their practices, including real estate matters, estate planning, and business transactions.

In his free time, you can find Roy watching NBA basketball.

DANIELLE MIER

Paralegal

Danielle Mier joined Hilger Hammond in 2023. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Legal Studies from Davenport University. With over 10 years of experience, Danielle has worked in several areas of law, including divorce and custody, abuse and neglect, unaccompanied refugee minors, conservator and guardianships, probate administration, and estate planning. At Hilger Hammond Danielle assists the attorneys with complex litigation, discovery and records management, and corporate real estate transactional matters.

In her free time, Danielle enjoys reading, exercising, and traveling with her husband and 2 children.

LISA SCHICHTEL

Accounting/Operations

Lisa Schichtel joined Hilger Hammond in 2012 to manage the accounting and administrative duties for the firm. She holds business and accounting degrees from Aquinas College, and has over 25 years of experience in the accounting field, including 15 years working in the legal industry. Her responsibilities include all aspects of financial reporting and general office management.

SHEELA WESTRA

Administrative Assistant

Sheela Westra joined Hilger Hammond, PC, in 2022. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice/Sociology in  2004. Sheela’s strengths include data entry, front desk experience, administrative experience and organizational skills. As a Hilger Hammond  team member, Sheela is often the first friendly face to greet visitors. She helps the office run smoothly with the day-to-day operations of incoming and outgoing mail and telephone calls. Sheela assists visitors and helps direct the flow of activity in the office. She performs many miscellaneous tasks that arise on any given day. Sheela provides excellent service to attorneys, staff and clients alike.
